A weekend at the ranch!

We had  a family weekend at G-mom and G-dad's Ranch. The kids love going down and just running and playing together. They are usually worn out by the time we go home-not to mention how tired all the grown ups are. :) G-mom has been asking me for a while for a picture with ALL her babies in it... so this was my only chance...We stopped the playing for about 45 minutes, made them all "clean up" (which they weren't too keen on) and smile cute for Aunt Tom Tom. We got one great one and then some of all of them by them selves. It was a great weekend and we are so happy to have this "special" little family!

Happy Birthday Callie Kay!

I am a little behind...again...but better late than never. Right?

Another of my favorite little girls had a big birthday
a couple of weeks ago. Callie turned THREE!!!!
OH MY!
I was blessed to be asked to be in the room when Callie was born.
My heart was forever changed when I saw her face for the first time.
What a precious gift her mom and dad gave me.
I will always have a special place in my heart for
Miss Callie Kay!
I love you princess!

Vanessa Whitwell

I had the immense blessing of being a part of Fellowship Church a few years ago. I was called there at one of the most difficult times of my life and it will always hold a very dear place in my heart. I met some of the most amazing people of faith and learned so much of who I am there. My very favorite part of church is worship- corporate worship. The eyes closed , hands up high, praising and loving Christ through music kind of worship. I was usually a puddle of emotion by the time Ed Young (the pastor) came to speak. The praise team was full of some the most amazingly gifted and talented musicians...this weekend one of their most precious staff members went on to be with the Lord. Vanessa Whitwell. I didn't know her personally, other than a few quick introductions and hello every now and then, I have had the pleasure of briefly spending time with her step mother, and others that loved her. Her voice was so pure and beautiful, but to learn that her gift was merely a small reflection of her love for God is such a rich blessing. Please read more about her on this link... I know you will blessed as I have been to read about her.

She was so young-but had in just almost 35 short years-completed what God had called her to do. Oh, what a legacy she has left behind and countless lives touched by her ministry.

A Blue Baby

My sweet little Paige has known for a while that she was going to be a big sister. She has informed EVERYONE that she wanted a pink baby (also she called it a sista). So cute. If we ever tried to explain that it just might be a blue baby-she would get so mad and insist that "NO, it's a sista!"

Well, last week, much to her displeasure, the doctor confirmed that it was indeed....a blue baby! Paige was there for the announcement, to which she responded...."Well, I am not going to love it!" quickly followed with, "And....I am not going to take care of it!" By the time they made it to the car, she decided, "I will love my brother." She said it as if she were repeating it over and over and over in her head, until she believed it.

Oh what a funny girl. I can just hear her...the shock and irritation in that sweet  4 year old voice! The story made me laugh out loud.

Now, she has is very excited, as we all are, that she will be the big sister to a blue baby!
