A Cheeky Christmas

We had a fun family Christmas In Baton Rouge. We've been celebrating the week after Christmas-which I love, because it stretches out the fun! We all go to Randy's parents and stay for a few days and it is CRAZY! 19 of us in one house...4 little girls, 3 little boys, and 12 loud grownups (and we are still growing). Board games, golf, shopping, laughing, fireworks, eating, friends, presents, and lots more fill our time together! We love our family and so look forward to being with them again this summer in Tennessee when we welcome Cheeks baby number 8!

This was my first trip to New Orleans. I LOVE this city. I can't wait to go back and spend way more time there. The people are so interesting, the music is great, and the local artist are fabulous. This was my kinda place. I asked Randy if we could live there- he said no, 'cause the people are weird...that is exactly why I would want to live there. :) He and I are so different. Anyways...we had lots of fun and we will FOR SURE be making another trip back when we go to Louisiana again.

We went to Baton Rouge last week to visit our family. On Tuesday, we went to New Orleans to check out some sites. First on the list was the Audabon Zoo. It is a GREAT zoo! SO beautiful! You can get up so close to the animals and they are so amazing. Every time that I go to the zoo or out in nature like that, I am in awe of the creativity of our God. He is so good to us, to surround us with such beauty to enjoy. We had a great time and would love to go back one day when Sterling will actually see the zoo and not sleep through it. :)

Our Little Family Christmas

We finally got to have "our" Christmas with Garrett this past weekend. Mom came and spent the night like always and we opened gifts, got new pj's, had a big breakfast, and played with toys. We had a great time together and enjoyed being together in our new house. Sterling slept through the whole thing-next year will be a whole different experience. I am so blessed with this little family of mine- I adore them and can't imagine life any other way!

My Very First Cereal

Sterling has been super hungry lately, so we thought we might try some cereal. She LOVES it. We started giving it to her right at 6 weeks. Twice a day she gears up for some "good eatin" It apparently sits well with her. At her 4 week check up she weighed 7lbs 4.8 oz. I ran her up to the doctor the other day (she was 7 weeks) and she weighed 9 lbs 12oz!!!! That little punkin' is turning into a little

 butterball. We love that she is starting to get double chins and rolls oh her legs! So precious!
