The Hatcher Fam

The Hatchers. A Mom, a Dad, 3 super fantastic boys, and their dog. These are very precious friends of mine, and I was thrilled to finally have the opportunity to do a photo shoot with them. They were troopers...it was like (to quote the oldest, Harrison) "350 degrees!" outside. We were all sweating our rears off, but we still got some really great pictures of them. I hope that this is the first of many shoots that I get to do with this darling family!

Hudson is something else...he makes the BEST faces!
Harrison LOVES the camera- a total natural.
The baby, Hunter, is just YUMMY!

I love love this one!
Brian and Jaclyn, aka Mom and Dad
Is that the cutest family, or what?
This one cracks me up. It is the last picture of the day...
 Hudson was totally DONE
with this whole session.

Beckham Daniel Bellows

If you'll remember a while back I shared the story of the "Blue Baby", well today he arrived! Linsey was induced this morning at 8:00 and that tiny little man was born at 12:52! He came super fast! (I have already told Sterling that she is to take  a lesson from her new friend!) He weighed 7lbs 13oz and he was 20 inches long. I think that he looks just like big sister Paige did with less hair. So cute! His Mommy is doing great! Looked like a super model right after he was born. Daddy is as proud as can be. Paige is beside herself, she is the little mother hen, making sure that he is ok and that all the grown ups are doing exactly what they are supposed to do.

I got a few pictures, not as many as I would like-but still got some really sweet ones. I am so privileged to have had the opportunity in the past 7 years to be sitting in the waiting room at Harris HEB waiting for almost all of my friends babies. I just adore them all and he is NO exception! Thank you Robert, Linsey, and Paige for letting me be apart of this day in your family!

This morning, I had a  one year photo shoot with our precious little friend Kory. I can't believe that she is one and such a BIG girl (when she came home from the hospital, she was just over 4 pounds! She gave her Mommy and Daddy quite the run for their money this first year...she has been very ill several times and hospitalized too. But today she is healthy, fat, and happy! Just wanted to share of my favorites from the day. Happy early Birthday Korynne! You are a joy!

Sterling's crib is UP!!!!
I have always loved a round crib! We found this one on line for a great deal and ordered it right away. It has been sitting in the garage for a week and I have been begging for Randy to put it up so that I could play "baby" Finally.... tonight was the night. He and Chandler put it together in no time flat and now I can go stand in there and imagine her in it. I also have to imagine that the room is a bit more girlie- you know minus the dead pheasant and deer in the room. But for now, I am happy as can be with it and can't wait to start making her bedding!

And her name shall be....

Randy and Garrett have named our baby girl....
           Sterling Maye Cheeks.

If you remember from earlier posts, I told Randy that he could choose her name. Since then, I have asked him about 10 times a day if he had picked one. He went back and forth a zillion times.  Last night he asked Garrett which name he liked best, he said "Sterling." Randy looked at me and said, "Then that is her name. Sterling Maye Cheeks."
Sterling has no particular significance besides we all just loved the name. Maye was the middle name of all three of our grandmothers who have passed away, and we thought that it would be precious to have their great- granddaughter  share their name.
So there you have it! We are thrilled to have something to call her, besides "Punkin Head", which has been Randy's nickname for her. I can't wait to order something with her name on it and have it embroidered on everything! :)

new pics of Chandler

Doing a little practicing and trying out some new things-
I have the perfect model.
Except for the fact that he moans and complains the whole time-
like any other normal 12 year old boy. :)
He is still stinking cute though!

Nineteen Weeks!!!

We are right at 19 weeks today! We had a office visit today with my doctor, the "real" sonogram with her was scheduled today. We told her that we already cheated and had a couple of sonograms, but I wouldn't tell her what the other one said...I wanted her eyes to see the baby fresh with out any ideas. First and most important, the baby looks very healthy and active...right on schedule and cute as can be! Her verdict on the sex.....she agreed- GIRL! I am still  having a hard time believing it. I am not sure what it will take to really buy it-I guess I will need to see the real deal. :)
She was very busy today-we saw her dancing around and opening her mouth and chewing on her tiny little hands. It is still so amazing to us to actually see our baby-it feels like we are watching a movie about someone else! I am starting to feel her move around more and more everyday. I am so anxious for Garrett and Randy to get to feel it too- the doctor said that it might be another month before they can feel it really well. I am doing great too-other than the usual "side effects" of growing a person. I actually lost a little weight this time (I am fine with that) but she is a little tiny bit concerned, so some blood work was done today. I am happy to report that I have only gained 8 pounds-I am sure that my next visit I will double that, but for now I will brag. :)

Randy's parents are here tonight-just passing through, but we took advantage of the opportunity to get a picture of all of us at the same time! The bottom picture is one of "both bellies" - hee hee! I think he is giving me a run for my money!

Keep checking in! Hopefully we will have some more pictures of our tiny girl next week!

My dear friend Linsey had her 31st Birthday last week. We went and ate dinner to celebrate. We have been friends for 20 years-yes TWENTY!!! She is about to pop with her second baby-little Beckham- any day now. This is the only picture that we have of us pregnant at the same time-I wish that you could really see both our bellies. It is a really neat thing that we have gotten to share so much together and now, we get to share this! Really special :) Anyway, just wanted to tell her Happy Birthday and many happy wishes to her for the next year!!!

We went to Possum Kingdom Lake for the fourth of July. Garrett is spending the week with his dad, so it was just us- we are missing him really bad, it wasn't the same without him. :( We made the best of the day, relaxing, eating, Randy did some cliff jumping, and fishing- quite hilarious. I hope that next year we have pictures of our whole family-both kiddos (can't wait for that) and our cute dog. Hope your day was great and you feel as blessed as we do to live in the United States of America!

Showing off our daughter!

Ok, so here are the pictures from the last two sonograms. You have to squint your eyes to really see, but we think that she is awfully cute.

I wish that you could all see the video and hear the girl explain what everything is. It is amazing how much you can see- her stomach, liver, diaphram, the chambers of her heart, the different parts of her brain, and the way the blood flows through her tiny little body! We watched her open and close her mouth, stick her tounge out (at Daddy I am sure:) playing with the umbilical cord...all kinds of neat stuff! We are soooo thrilled that we are getting to see her as much as we are-not everyone gets the opportunity-and we are taking advantage of it!

We are scheduled to go see her again next week, so hopefully we will have some more to share!
